1. To what countries do you ship?
We ship to virtually any country. This includes countries in Europe, America, Asia, Australia, Africa and Oceania.
2. What shipping options are available?
- Air Freight
The goods will arrive within few days, virtually anywhere in the world. However, this shipment type is economically only viable for goods that are in urgent need (spare parts) or a high price (ex-: jewelry).
- Sea Freight
Most common shipment type for bulky, non-urgent and/or non-expensive goods. This is what most of our customers choose.
3. What sea freight options are available?

- Less than a container load (LCL)
The goods are shipped in wooden boxes on crates first to a harbour in Singapore or Malaysia. They will wait there until enough other LCL shipments arrive with the same destination, so that a whole container can be filled. From there it is usually a direct way to the harbour of destination.

4. What is the minimum and maximum volume for sea freight?
- Minimum volume
There is no minimum volume per send. However, the cargo charges at least for 1m3. That is, if your goods have a lower volume than 1cbm, we still can ship it, but the goods will count as 1cbm.
- Maximum volume
The maximum volume is determined by the container sizes. For a 20′ container, the volume is 30 cbm, for a 40′ container it is 60 cbm, and a 40′ High Cube container has a volume of 70 cbm. If your goods exceed the maximum volume, we can of course add a second container, or combine FCL with LCL shipment.
- Weight Limitation
EUROPE, USA & CANADA:
Max 363 kgs/cbm above will be apply by weight volume charge.
5. How are the goods packaged?
Single face packaging, wooden boxes and crates for less than container shipments. For container shipments, goods are usually wrapped with single face. Fragile products receive stronger wrapping even wooden packing.
6. What is the shipping time?
Around 8 weeks to Europe and the United States and 6 weeks to Australia. Add a couple of days more for less than container-load shipments.
7. How do I know the exact day of arrival?
You will receive from us the shipping schedule. Besides, a couple of days prior to the arrival of your products, a representative of the shipping line, located at the harbor of destination, will give you a call.
8. Are the goods insured?
Insurance is 2% of the invoice value. Claiming insurance must take place within one week of the arrival of the goods. We recommend choosing your own, local, insurance company.
9. What’s about other fees?
Your goods are probably subject to value added tax of your country. Further, you shipment might incur harbour of destination charges. These costs are not included in our shipping costs and are c/o client.
IDP CARGO WORKING PROCEDURE
IDP Bali Cargo provides several procedures for the smooth delivery of customers. Kindly take the time to read through each step of the standard shipping procedure below.
This will precisely assist your export planning in advance and avoid being charged with additional costs that may occur due to delays and pauses along the way.
WORKING PROCEDURE:
1. Opening the file
To open a file, we will need the complete and exact details of:
- The consignee (Address, contact, tel, fax, handphone…)
- The clearing agent (same).
- Your address and handphone number in Bali, with a map of your villa or hotel, should we need to pick up some goods there.
2. Supplier’s invoice
Each and every supplier’s invoice must show:
- Every supplier or shop must-have, name, address, phone, what apps.
- Please use your complete name on invoice and date finish order, total order, deposit, discount(if any), and balance.
- Take note if you have any special request, agreement, number of items, design, and composition.
- Please do not miss any single invoice before we make a copy
- Please inform us if you are going to buy a door, flooring, stone, shell, gazebo, wooden house, bamboo, rattan because of some product special documents export. Also for heavyweight stuff more than 400 kgs per 1m3.
3. Packing.
- In case the supplier would like to pack your good please inform us in advance some material packing must international standard n
please give us the packing list. We will not responsible for what contains in the box if packing not by IDP Cargo’s team. - Special packing treatment should inform me in advance when giving us an invoice, repacking will charge customers and spend time, energy.
4. Stuffing date
- Stuffing in Surabaya once a week. And will leave after full container.
Size container 20 feet( L 6 m, W 2.3 m H 2.3 m), 40 feet : (L 12 m,W 2.3 m, H 2.5 m) - Please give spare at least one week before loading date in case supplier delay to finish, pick up, and packed.
Because containers must be leaving after stuffing or pay the extra cost and miss the schedule. - Please give us detailed instructions, priorities’ list. if the container is full of all identified items if we have empty space so we can collect.
5. Sgs -Veritas- Sucofindo
- A certain country in Africa or South America, requests the use of an inspection company. We will have to produce a proforma invoice which will list all your purchases.
- We will need to wait for an “örder” of inspection prior to loading the container.
- The final invoice will be drawn with the inspector at the time of stuffing and we will not be allowed to modify it afterward.
6. Fumigation
- Australia and New Zealand using AQIS Fumigation
- USA, Mauritius, and Canada will also need a Phyto-Sanitary Certificate
7. Humidity Absorber.
In order to absorb humidity in the container we suggest cline to put absorber standard 8 pcs 20 feet, 10 pcs 40 feet and 12 pcs 40 HC
8. Commercial Invoice and Packing List.
Please provide us all the necessary information such as price to declare, the current that we should use, material, HS Code, value, personal effect for custom purposes.
9. Quality control is not our responsibility, please make sure your order in good quality before we pick up.
Some products correct sample shoes( pictograms), lamps(electric cable), toys (European protection), shell, bone, animal skin, coffee, etc need special documents. Please consult us before you buy it.
