International shipping requires, to be valid, a set of documents that IDP Cargo takes care of for you.
Bill of lading
The bill of lading (also known as BL, B/L or BOL) is a document issued by a carrier (or his agent).
It is used in international trade to acknowledge receipt of the cargo for dispatch.
This ensures that exporters receive payment and that importers receive the goods.
Packing list
The packing list details the goods in the shipment,
as well as information on its packaging, numbering, serial numbers (if any),
weight and dimensions of each item.
Commercial invoice
The commercial invoice is identical to any invoice used by a national company and
essentially constitutes a finalized version of the proforma invoice.
It can sometimes include the packing list.
Certificate of origin
The certificate of origin (also known as COO or Form A) is a document certifying that the goods
(of a specific shipping) have been produced, manufactured or processed in a given country.
